Thank You!

In the past several months I’ve been fortunate to have many awesome experiences all because of writing this blog.  Foremost is having the film and television rights optioned by ABC.  That was quite a ride. Then I wrote my book: Snarky in the Suburbs Back to School. I loved every minute of writing it. For someone who tends to be, shall we say, long-winded the book was a perfect excuse for me to go into turbo blab mode. Now, a couple of other fun things have happened and I can’t wait to share them with you – which I will do tomorrow.

Right now, I want to thank all of you for embracing Snarky in the Suburbs. I started writing the blog because I had just moved almost 2,000 miles away from some of the best friends a person could ever ask for (Nan, Amy, Rayann, Chandra, I’m talking about you.) and I was terminally lonely, the kind of lonely where your heart hurts. All it took was one blog post for me to make many, many new friends. All of you have been wonderful and so supportive. I’m not exaggerating when I tell it’s been life affirming. Say what you will about the evils of social media, but in my case it has been an amazing, almost magical thing.

I’m excited about what this year will bring. I’ve already started writing Snarky in the Suburbs Two Weeks in Texas which will have Wynn (Snarky) going back home for a visit where she ends up doing what she does best causing mayhem, this time with her mother along for the ride. You know everything is bigger in Texas, including the crazies.

More important than any of these Snarky coming attractions is the gratitude I owe all of you. I want to say thank you for being part of my journey and would it be over the top to say a part of my extended family? Even though I have not met hardly anyone of you, you are in my head. Call it Facebook or blog comment schizophrenia, but I will see something and I’ll think, “Oh wow, I wish Suburban Haiku was here to comment up on this or Abby Ray, Danelle Holt, Todd Winbolt and Julie Tadlock.” I couldn’t pick any of these people out in a crowd, but they have added to my life and I am very thankful – not just for them, but for all of you! It’s very good to have such great friends.

Much Love, Snarky

Your welcome Snarky. And thank you for entertaining me, making me laugh and being my Yoda. I have many years of elementary, middle and high school years ahead of me. You are the best mentor and I couldn’t ask for a better one. You give me great ideas and so much more. I’m a Snarky follwer for as long as you keep writing.

A huge Thank You right back at you. Reading your blog brings a huge smile to a lot of faces. My niece and I are religious about reading your posts. You never fail to deliver the laughs when I need them the most. God bless you real good.

A well deserved ride. You have thoroughly entertained me and enter my thinking regularly. It gave me such a little thrill to see you local (well now anyways). But yes, crazy is not restricted by geography.

Funny–you moved from Texas to Kansas City area. We moved from a lifetime in the KC area to north Texas. Fun to read your impressions of the area. Stop by on your way to deeper Texas. We’re about 14 miles from Gainesville near Oklahoma border.

Where can I find the “Two Weeks in Texas” book? I thought it was being released in April 2013? Thanks! Cannot wait to read it!

Well, life happened and I didn’t get the book finished by April 2013. Sorry. The good news it is now finished and is coming out in January. If all goes well it will come out Tuesday, January 6th. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for wanting to read the next Snarky book! You have made my day.
